Motion to Discharge a Committee from the Consideration of a resolution

September 11, 2008

To the Clerk of the House of Representatives:
 
Pursuant to clause 2 of rule XV, I, Chris Cannon, move to discharge the Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on Science and Technology from the consideration of the bill (H.R. 6211), entitled, a bill to allow Americans the opportunity to see their vast oil shale and tar sands resources on Federal lands developed by providing the President with the ability to determine the quickest and most responsible way to access oil shale resources; which was referred to said committees on June 9, 2008, in support of which motion the undersigned Members of the House of Representatives affix their signatures, to wit:
