10:59:49 A.M. The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permissions granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received a message from the Secretary of the Senate on March 25, 2013 at 10:29 a.m. stating that that body had agreed S. Con. Res. 11. The message further stated appointments to the Board of Trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
10:59:36 A.M. The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of March 25.
10:03:40 A.M. The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is subject to the call of the Chair.
10:02:48 A.M. The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permissions granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received a message from the Secretary of the Senate on March 22, 2013 at 11:28 a.m. stating that that body had agreed to, without amendment, H. Con. Res. 18, H. Con. Res. 19, and passed S. 540. The message further stated appointments to the U.S.-China Interparliamentary Group, the Mexico-U.S. Interparliamentary Group, the Canada-U.S. Interparlaimentary Group, and the British-American Interparliamentary Group.
10:02:32 A.M. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Chair led the House in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
10:02:19 A.M. APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL - The Chair announced that, pursuant to the provisions of section 2(a) of H. Res. 122, the Journal of the last day's proceedings was approved.
10:00:47 A.M. Today's prayer was offered by Rev. Oran Warder, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Alexandria, VA.
10:00:29 A.M. The Speaker designated the Honorable Frank R. Wolf to act as Speaker pro tempore for today.
