12:00:10 P.M. The Speaker designated the Honorable Jeff Denham to act as Speaker pro tempore for today.
12:00:28 P.M. MORNING-HOUR DEBATE - The House proceeded with Morning-Hour Debate. At the conclusion of Morning-Hour, the House will recess until 2:00 p.m. for the start of legislative business.
12:01:02 P.M. The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. today.
2:00:08 P.M. The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of February 27.
2:00:11 P.M. Today's prayer was offered by the House Chaplain, Rev. Patrick J. Conroy.
2:01:43 P.M. The Speaker announced approval of the Journal. Pursuant to clause 1, rule I, the Journal stands approved.
2:01:46 P.M. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Chair designated Mrs. Mimi Walters of CA to lead the Members in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

2:08:24 P.M. The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received the following message from the Secretary of the Senate on February 24, 2017 at 9:54 a.m.: That the Senate passed S. 442.
2:08:47 P.M. The Board of Trustees of the American Folklife Center, Library of Congress - Pursuant to 20 U.S.C. 2103(b), and the order of the House of January 3, 2017, the Speaker appointed Ms. Amy Kitchener of Fresno, California.
2:09:30 P.M. The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is scheduled for 4:30 P.M. today.
4:30:42 P.M. The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of February 27.
4:30:48 P.M. The Speaker announced that votes on suspensions, if ordered, will be postponed until a time to be announced.

H.R. 88 — "To modify the boundary of the Shiloh National Military Park located in Tennessee and Mississippi, to establish Parker's Crossroads Battlefield as an affiliated area of the National Park System, and for other purposes."
