2:01:23 P.M. SPEAKER'S APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL - Pursuant to section 2(a) of H. Res. 944, the Journal of the last day's proceedings was approved.
2:01:29 P.M. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Chair designated Mr. Loudermilk to lead the Members in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Spence National Defense Authorization Act of Fiscal Year 2001 (22 U.S.C 7002), as amended, Ms. Pelosi notified the House that she has appointed Mr. Jonathan N. Stivers of Washington DC to the United States-China Economic and Security Review Commission to succeed Mr. Michael R. Wessel, effective January 21, 2017.
2:04:31 P.M. The House received a communication from Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Leader. Pursuant to section 1238(b)(3) of the Floyd D. Spence National Defense Authorization Act of Fiscal Year 2001 (22 U.S.C 7002), as amended, Ms. Pelosi notified the House that she has appointed Mr. Michael R. Wessel of Falls Church, VA to the United States-China Economic and Security Review Commission to fill the existing vacancy created by the resignation of Mr. Jeffrey Fiedler, to serve for the remainder of the term, effective January 1, 2017.
2:05:02 P.M. The Speaker announced that the House do now adjourn pursuant to section 2(b) of H. Res. 944. The next meeting is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on December 20, 2016.
