11:30:48 A.M. The House convened, starting a new legislative day.
11:31:09 A.M. The Speaker designated the Honorable Ed Whitfield to act as Speaker pro tempore for today.
11:32:26 A.M. Today's prayer was offered by Reverend William Gurnee, St. Pius X (the tenth) Catholic Church, Bowie, Maryland.
11:33:13 A.M. The Speaker announced approval of the Journal. Pursuant to clause 1, rule I, the Journal stands approved.
11:33:26 A.M. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Chair led the House in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
11:33:27 A.M. The House received a communication from the Honorable Bill Shuster. Mr. Shuster notified the House that on April 20, 2016, pursuant to section 3307 of Title 40, United States Code, the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure met in open session to consider two resolutions included in the General Services Administration's Capital Investment and Leasing Programs. The Committee continues to work to reduce the cost of federal property and leases. The two resolutions considered for alteration projects address serious health and life safety issues and will consolidate agencies out of leased space into owned space reducing the costs to the taxpayer. The amounts authorized are consistent with existing funding. In total, these resolutions represent more than $27 million in avoided lease costs. Mr. Shuster enclosed copies of the resolutions adopted by the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure

11:33:50 A.M. On motion to adjourn Agreed to by voice vote.
11:33:55 A.M. The House adjourned. The next meeting is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on April 26, 2016.
