11:30:00 A.M. The House convened, starting a new legislative day.
11:30:05 A.M. The Speaker designated the Honorable Luke Messer to act as Speaker pro tempore for today.
11:30:10 A.M. The House received a communication from Paul Irving, Sergeant at Arms. Pursuant to clause 12(c) of rule I, an imminent impairment of the scheduled time for the House meeting of 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, was in place due to weather. Subsequently, the Chair announced that the rescheduling of the time of meeting for the House at 11:30 a.m. had been communicated to the Members.
11:31:00 A.M. Today's prayer was offered by the House Chaplain, Rev. Patrick J. Conroy.
11:32:16 A.M. JOURNAL APPROVED - The Chair announced that pursuant to section 4(a) of H. Res. 458, the Journal of the last day's proceedings was approved.
11:33:19 A.M. PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG - The Chair led the House in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
11:33:55 A.M. The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is subject to the call of the Chair.
9:00:55 A.M. The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of January 21.
9:00:57 A.M. The Speaker announced that, by unanimous consent, when the House adjourns today, it adjourn to meet at 12 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014.
9:01:00 A.M. The Speaker announced that the House do now adjourn. The next meeting is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on January 27, 2014.
