12:00:13 P.M. The House convened, starting a new legislative day.
12:00:23 P.M. The Speaker designated the Honorable Brad R. Wenstrup to act as Speaker pro tempore for today.
12:00:51 P.M. MORNING-HOUR DEBATE - The House proceeded with Morning-Hour Debate. At the conclusion of Morning-Hour, the House will recess until 2:00 p.m. for the start of legislative business.
12:11:52 P.M. The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. today.
2:00:20 P.M. The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of March 18.
2:00:30 P.M. Today's prayer was offered by Rev. Andrew Walton, Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church, Washington DC.
2:01:00 P.M. POSTPONED PROCEEDINGS ON APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL - The Chair announced that he had examined the Journal of the last day's proceedings and had approved it. Mr. Hoyer demanded that the question be put on agreeing to the Speaker's approval of the Journal and by voice vote, the Chair announced that the ayes had prevailed. Mr. Hoyer demanded the yeas and nays and the Chair postponed further proceedings on the question of agreeing to the Speaker's approval of the Journal until later in the legislative day.
2:02:59 P.M. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Chair designated Mr. Hoyer to lead the Members in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
2:05:00 P.M. ONE MINUTE SPEECHES - The House proceeded with one minute speeches.
2:15:12 P.M. The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is scheduled for 5:00 P.M. today.
5:04:30 P.M. The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of March 18.
5:04:47 P.M. The Speaker announced that votes on suspensions, if ordered, will be postponed until a time to be announced.
5:05:03 P.M. H. Con. Res. 18 Mr. Barletta moved to suspend the rules and agree to the resolution. H. Con. Res. 18 — "Authorizing the use of the Capitol Grounds for the National Peace Officers' Memorial Service."
5:06:06 P.M. H. Con. Res. 18 Considered under suspension of the rules.

5:23:48 P.M. The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received a message from the Secretary of the Senate on March 18, 2013, at 2:34 p.m. stating that that body had made appointments to the World War I Centennial Commission. The message also stated that the Senate had made appointments to International conferences, meeting and negotiation sessions relating to trade agreements.
5:24:21 P.M. The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is subject to the call of the Chair.
6:31:13 P.M. The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of March 18.
6:31:40 P.M. Mrs. Miller (MI) filed a report from the Committee on House Administration on H. Res. 115.
6:32:06 P.M. UNFINISHED BUSINESS - The Chair announced that the unfinished business was on the Speaker's approval of the Journal and on motions to suspend the rules, all of which had been postponed from earlier in the day.
