“I’m no lady; I'm a Member of Congress.”
Ask students to locate three dates that focus on women who served in Congress and use the Women in Congress Web site, http://womenincongress.house.gov to research more about each of these Members.
Civil Rights Movement
Ask students to select three highlight dates which encompass civil rights. Have students explain the role of each date in the Civil Rights Movement.
