Motion to Discharge a Committee from the Consideration of a resolution

April 26, 2006

To the Clerk of the House of Representatives:
 
Pursuant to clause 2 of rule XV, I, Edward J. Markey, move to discharge the Committees on Ways and Means, Energy and Commerce and Education and the Workforce from the consideration of the bill (H.R. 4263) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to impose a temporary windfall profit tax on crude oil, to establish the Consumer Energy Assistance Trust Fund, and to provide for a rebate to energy consumers; which was referred to said committees on November 9, 2005, in support of which motion the undersigned Members of the House of Representatives affix their signatures, to wit:
