Motion to Discharge a Committee from the Consideration of a resolution

To the Clerk of the House of Representatives:
 
Pursuant to clause 3 of rule XXVII, I, Bob Filner, move to discharge the Committee on Veterans' Affairs from the consideration of the bill (H.R. 836) entitled, a bill to amend title 38, United States Code, to deem certain service in the organized military forces of the Government of the Commonwealth of the Phillipines and the Phillipine Scouts to have been active service for purposes of benefits under programs administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, which was referred to said committee on February 26, 1997, in support of which motion the undersigned Members of the House of Representatives affix their signatures, to wit:
