Pursuant to clause 3 of rule XXVII, I, Louise McIntosh Slaughter, move to discharge the Committee on Commerce, and in addition, the Committees on Ways and Means and Education and the Workforce from the consideration of the bill (H.R. 306) entitled, a bill to prohibit discrimination against individuals and their family members on the basis of genetic information, or a request for genetic services, which was referred to said committees on January 7, 1997, in support of which motion the undersigned Members of the House of Representatives affix their signatures, to wit:
